Texture – Blog Circle Post

Welcome to those visiting from Kricia’s post!  Don’t you love her eye for color?  Hopefully I’ll get to meet my fellow military spouse bloggers someday, because it is amazing to see how differently we all interpret each theme.

This month’s Blog Circle theme is “Texture”.  A little better than “Colors of Summer”, but not much, and I kept putting off shooting.  When I finally picked up my camera, I shot what has been on my mind.

Your next stop is Serena Nicole’s blog.  She packs so much passion into every image – she reminds me to dream.  Enjoy your Blog Circle journey!

Technical Notes:  These images were taken with my Canon 5D Mark II, Canon 85mm lens, and a Canon 430EX speedlite.  I did basic edits in Photoshop and cropped WAY into the frame.

I can feel with my fingers each of these textures. It’s amazing the memory that lies in our fingertips!

What beautiful textures, even more touching when readin”what’s on your mind.” This life is so textured isn’t it? Layers of places and people and moments woven together. You captured it all beautifully with your words and photos.

I love this coupled with your story, what’s on your mind, what a beautiful reminder to soak in all the little textures that make up our lives.

We lost a Marine earlier this and encountered a lot of these same textures. My heart is with the families of those that were lost, thank you for a beautiful post!

After reading “what’s been on your mind” and coming back to these images, I see that you really captured what’s been on your “heart”. Beautiful texture.
